COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at
at the City Hall, Monday, December 12, 1966 at 7:30 P.M. with the
following members present: Mayor Macon, Councilmen: Reynolds,
Stipes and Stine. Councilman Gaston being absent. Councilman
Spader arriving at 8:20 P:M.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved.
Motion by Councilman Stine seconded by Councilman Reynolds that
the City Attorney be authorized to proceed with suit for declarat
judgment against Mitchell Casino property under the Southern
Standard Building Code. Upon being put to vote the following vote
was recorded: Voting For: Councilmen: Stine, Stipes and Reynolds.
Voting Against: None. Councilmen Gaston and Spader being absent.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Stine that the request of Mrs. L. I. Boone
for permit to keep pet goat be granted. Motion died for lack of
second.
Petition from property owners on the bluff above beach between
Nichols Street and White Avenue and the two lots just North of
White Avenue requesting that a strip of land forty feet wide, more
or less, be returned to the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation was
presented and upon motion of Councilman Stipes was tabled until
the next regular meeting of the City Council.
Motion by Councilman Stine seconded by Councilman Stipes that Moore
Engineering Company be authorized to let contract to low bidder,
Fairhope Paving Company, at a cost of $79270.00 for utility
relocation on four land highway. Upon,being put to vote the
following vote was recorded: For: Mayor Macon, Councilmen: Stine,
Stipes and Reynolds. Against: -None. Councilmen Gaston and Spader
absent. Motion carried.

Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Spader that
the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
