HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-09-1966 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, May 9,_1966 at 7:30 P.M. with the follo-rA ing members present: Mayor Macon, Councilmen: Spader, Reynolds, Stipes, Gaston and Stine. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved. Motion by Councilman Stine seconded by Councilman Gaston that variance be allowed and permit to build office building on North Section Street be granted to Cummins and Wilson. Motion carried. Letter from Baldwin National Bank was read and takenunder advise- ment until the nexft regular meeting of the City Council. Request for assistance for the Jr. Great Books Discussion Program was referred to the Recreation Board. Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stipes that Ordinance #361, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 139 DISTRICT BOUNDARIES OF ZONING ORDINANCE #295, be adopted as introduced at the regular meeting of April 11, 1966. Motion carried unanimously, Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stipes that the bills be approved for payment. Motion carried. A letter from Mr. G. C. Hifner was presented and made a part of the minutes of this meeting. Motion by Councilman Spader seconded by Councilman Reynolds that the City Council meet on the 23rd day of May, 1966 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to hear any objections, remonstranoes or protests that may be made against improvements,,t&e _in _H - aking the same or the character of materials to be use t on carried. Mr. Barney Shull, Chairman of the Recreation Board, presented an overall plan for recreation and beautification of City Parks. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
