October 9, 1.96.1, wi th the following members presents Mayor Schneider, C ounc i lmens Boone, Gaston, Nelson, Poser and Schermer. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. The Board of Trustees of Thomas Hospital requested payment to Hospital as authorized by former C ounc i I . Motion by Councilman Schermer seconded by C ounc i I:man Boone that the Council consider their request and give their act i on-, within-, two weeks. Motion carried. Mr. King requested the City to install a street light on Morphy;,Avenue. between Liberty and Summit. Motion by Councilman Nelson seconded. by Councilman Gaston, than permit be issued to Samuel Weeks, ,I:r. to retai t Beer at 30;7 Young, Street prowid'ed /41: meets the sa r tart i on requirement of the Baldwin County Health Depart- ment. BE I T RESOLV ED BY THE C I TY COUNC I L OF THE C I TY OF FA I RHOPE, ALWAMA WHEREAS;; The C i ty of Fa i rhope purchased a mechan icall street sweeper many years ago, and., WHEREAS; said sweeper has been used until. it is economically unwise to make they necessary repari rs %n order to keep it in operation, and, WHEREAS; the City of Fairhope hass the necessary funds to purchase a. replacement street sweeper, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, City of Fairhope, authorrize Mr. Peter Byrne, the Business Adm4nistrator, to secure bids on a new street sweeper. Said bids to be opened at the meeting; of October 23, 0610- Motion by C ounc i I man Gaston seconded by Councilman Poser that the following bills be approved:for: payment-. Motion carried.
