COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in
regular session at the Town Hall Tuesday July
91 1946 at 7:30 P.M. with the following members
present: Mayor Howard Ruge, Councilmen: J. H.
Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble
and J. 0. Stimpson.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved.

Motion by Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded by
Councilman J. H. Bennett that the application of
Fuel Oil Supply Company for building permit on
Lots 5-6-7 Blk 6 Div 4 be allowed. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson seconded by
Councilman W. 0. Keeble that the application of
J. J. Griffith for hermit to construct driveway
on Lot 7-8 Blk 1 Div 2 be allowed. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded by,
Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that the application o
Radcliffe and Sharretts for beer permit in building
on North side of Fairhope Avenue between Section
and Bancroft St. be allowed. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman J. H.. Bennett seconded by
Councilman H. P. Kamper that the pay of all
regular salaried employees on active duty with
the exception of the Mayor -Manager be increased
$20.00 monthly effective with, the July payroll.
Motion carried.
It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting
adjourn. Motion carried.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Howard Ruge,.as Mayor
and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute
said contract.in the name of and on behalf of the
Town*of Fairhope.
The said resolution having been read in full, Council-
man James H. Bennett moved that the rules be suspended
that the said resolution might be put upon it's im-
mediate passage, which said motion, being seconded by
Councilman J. 0. Stimpson, was put upon it's passage
with the following results,: Voting Aye:, Mayor,
Howard Ruge, Councilmen: C. A. Gaston, H. P; Kamper,
W. 0. Keeble, J. H. Bennett and J. 0. Ptifpson;
Voting Nay: None; Whereupon the Mayor declared said
motion carried and the rules suspended;3Councilman
W. 0. Keeble moved the immediate consideration of
the said resolution, which said motion having been
seconded by Councilman H. P. Kamper was put upon it's
passage with the following results: Voting Aye:
Mayor, Howard Ruge, Councilmen: J. 0. Stimpson,
C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble and J. H.
Bennett; Voting Nay: None; thereupon the said
Mayor declared the said motion carried. Councilman
C. A. Gaston moved the adoption of said resolution,
which said motion being seconded by James H. Bennett
was put upon it's passage with the following results:
Voting Aye: Mayor, Hoviiard Ruge, Councilmen: 9. A.
Gaston, J. 0. Stimpson, H.-P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble
and J. H. Bennett; Voting Nay: None.' Whereupon the
4 Mayor declared said resolution duly adopted and ordered
the same entered in the minutes of this meeting.
It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting
adjourn. Motion carried.
