Town of Fairhope do hereby waive notice of a snecial meeting
of the Town Ccancil of the Town of Fairhope call&.dpto be held
at the Town Hall at 8 o'clock P. T7., July 31 1946, for the
purpose of considering the proposal of -Sullivan -Ross Company
to construct a natural gas system for the Towns of Foley and
Fairhope and for the other incorporated and unincorporated
communities in South 'Baldwin County and coo hereby consent that
said meeting be held at said time and place for said purpose.

Special meeting called for the following purpose:
Minutes of a Council meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Fairhope held at the Town Hall in
the Town of Fairhope at 8 o'clock P.M., July 3, 1946.
Present and presiding, Howard Ruge, Mayor. Present,
Councilmen: C. A. Gaston, J.O. Stimpson, H. P.
Kamper, W. 0. Keeble and James H. Bennett.
Said meeting having been called for the purpose of
considering the matter of entering into a contract
jointly with the Town of Foley for the construction of
natural gas system for the Towns of Fairhope and Foley
and other incorporated and unincorporated communities
of South Baldwin as proposed by Sullivan -Ross Company,
a co -partnership, composed of 0. H. Sullivan, D. F.
Ross and W. J. Ross, and each of the said Town
Councilmen having had notice of such special meeting
and each of them having waived notice of such special
meeting and consent that such special meeting be held
at the Town Hall in the Town of Fairhope at 8 P.M.
July 31 1946, for said purpose, said waiver being in
words and figures and follows:
"We, the undersigned members of the Town Council
of the Town of Fairhope do hereby waive notice of a
,Special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Fairhope called to be held at the Town Hall at 8 o'clock
P.M., July 3, 1946, for the purpose of considering the
proposal of Sullivan -Ross Company to construct a natural
gas system for the Towns of Foley and Fairhope and for
the other incorporated and unincorporated communities
in South Baldwin County and do hereby consent that
said meeting be held at said time and place for said
purpose.

The said meeting having been called to order by
Howard Ruge, Mayor, and he having announced the
purpose of the said meeting the following business
was transacted:
it resolved by the Town Council of the Town
of Fairhope, that the Town of Fairhope, jointly with
the Town of Foley enter into a contract with the
Sullivan -Ross Company for the construction of a
natural gas system for the Towns and for the other
incorporated and unincorporated communities of South
Baldwin County.

Be it further resolved that Mayor Howard Ruge
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute said contract in the name of and on behalf
of the Town of Fairhope.

and James H. Bennett; Voting Nay: None. Whereupon
the Mayor declared said motion carreid and ordered
it to be recorded in the minutes of this meeting, said
contract being in words and figures as follows:

It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn.
