HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-12-1946 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session at the Town Hall Tuesday March 129 1946 at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Howard Ruge, Mayor, Councilmen: J. H. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble and J. 0. Stimpson. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved as read. The following bills were allowed: H. R. Gaston for building permit on Lots 5-6 Block 5 Division 1 be allowed. Motion carried. . Motion by Councilman J. H. Bennett seconded by Councilman C. A. Gaston that application of Baldwin & Niemeyer for building permit for addition to MoBay Store be allowed. Motion carried. Motion by'Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Councilman J. H. Bennett that the application of Sam Dyson for permit to move building from S. E. Corner Section Street & Magnolia Avenue to N. E. Corner White Avenue and Summit Street be allowed. Motion carried. ✓ Motion by Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded by Councilman C. A. Gaston that the application of Gordon Lowell for building permit on Lot 18- Block C Division 4 be allowed. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that the Town of Fairhope contribute $50.00 to the annual Red Cross drive. Motion carried. r � , Motion by Councilman J. H. Bennett seconded by Councilman C. A. Gaston that the estimate for moving the East 10 feet from the Jordan Clinic building be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that the Mayor be authorized to place an order with the American Cast Iron Pipe Company for 2500 feet cast iron pipe, fittings and 3-6" fire hydrants. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried. A
