HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-13-1945 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session at the Town Hall Tuesday November 13, 1945 at 7:30 P.M. with the following members .present: Howard Ruge, Mayor, Councilmen: J. H.. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble and J. 0. Stimpson. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved as read. Elec. 3.93 W & S 240 Motion by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson seconded by Councilman H. P. Kamper that the gpplication for building permit of Sherrill Oil Company on Lot 1 Blk 10 Div. 1 be allowed.. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman W. 0. Keeble seconded by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that the application for building permit of A. R. Rockwell to rebuild warehouse on Lot8 and 9 Blk 6 Div. 1 be allowed. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Councilman J. H. Bennett that the Charles Lowell application be allowed subject to supervision by street superintendent and on condition that owner will remove same if deemed desirable in the public interest. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson seconded by Councilman H. P. Kamper that the Mayor be authorized to secure coverage for the Volunteer Fireman as offered by the Fidelity & Casualty Company of New York. Motion carried. Gaston that the Mayor be directed to employ Smith, Dukes and Buckalew to make the annual audit for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1945. Uotion carried. Motion by Councilman VT. 0. Keeble seconded by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that the application for building permit of lass I'Iamie Bmerich on Lot, 25 Brown Addition be allowed, subject to ordinance requirements as to distance except that the minimum from Church Street be 20 feet.
