HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-08-1945 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session at the Town Hall -Tuesday May 8, 1945 at 7:30 P.I.T. with the following members present:. Howard Ruge, Mayor, Councilmen: J. H. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. F. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble and J. 0. Stimpson. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved as read. Elec.' 3.93 W & S 7.50 The following Resolution was offered by Councilman C. A. Gaston who moved its adoption. Councilman J. H.' Bennett seconded the motion. v;hich was duly carried. BE IT RESOLVED that it is the sense of the Council that, in deeding the park land"to the Town, the Fairhope Single Cooperation retained the right to continue its agreement of June B, 1903 with its lessees in Block 5, Division 2 whereby they are granted the privilege of building and maintaining a private wharf, and the granting of a permit to Mrs Cora Sadler does not prejudice a request from Gordon Smith for a similar permit under the terms of said agree- ment. Uotion by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson seconded by Council- man 17. 0. Keeble that the application of H. R. Hall to constr-dct a temporary office building be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Councilman J. H. Bennett that building application of Charles Hipsch be allowed. Ilotion carried.. Councilman J. 0. Stimpson voting nay. Motion by Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Councilman H. P. Kamper that the Mayor be authorized to purchase for the Plant from Honan-C rane Corporation one #1424 oil filter to be connected to 450 H.P. unit. Motion carried. A report of a committee composed of J. H. Bennett and C. A. Gaston appointed by the hayor and C. C. Baldwin and J. E. Gaston of the Fairhope Yacht Club was filed by Councilman C. A. Gaston 'who moved its acceptance. Lotion seconded by J. 0. Stimpson and duly carried. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. ISotion carried. Z Att
