-` e_ It- Resolved by the Town Council of the Torn of "2airhope
as follows:
I.That an election is hereby called to be held in Ithe Town
of I'airhope at the usual place for the election of a l mayor
and rive Councilmen,for the term commencing in October,I944
2.That positions on the Torn Goiincil be and the sane are here-
by designated as follows:

3.The Council shall an_noint election officers at its meeting
of August 28th.That such. election officers be paid five dol-
lars each for holding such election.That all qualified votelss
of the Tot;,n,residing ?,Athin the Corporate Limits of the Torn
are qualified to vote at such election.
4.That the .Tayor shall prepare a correct and complete list of
all lualified electors in the Town,he shall receive tUe pet-
itions and. nominations of candidates and. determine -rhether
t'le same are proper,legal and sufficient,and he shall dist-
ribute to the polls,a sufficient nindber of ballots and elect-
ion au plies, such ballots to bear the names of all candidates
properly qualified and the office for Y.rhic'ri each is a candid-
ate,77ith appropriate places for the marking of the elector's
choice.
The election supplies shall be -proper and sufficient to -per-
mit an accurate and com-olete .return and canvass of the results
of such election,
5.That the -`rayor and Clerk give notice in the r,ia.nner required
by law,of such election and of the officers to hold same,by
publication in the I'airh.ope Gourier,in its issue of August
3lst.,I944.
6: hat the 'election Officers at such election make their re-
turn to the To„in Council,on the I8th.day of Sentember,I944
and.. that the Council meet at the Tornn Hall,Sept.I8th.,I944
at 8o'clock Pm,a.nd then and there canvass the returns and
determine and declare the results thereof.
7.That such election be in all things - lled,hell and returns made
and canvassed in strict conformity to the statute -.lade and
provided relative thereof.
