HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-13-1944 Regular Meetingr STATE OF ALABA%.CIA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session at the Town Hall, Monday March 13, 1944, at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Howard Ruge, Mayor, Councilmen: C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, J. 0. Stimpson and Sam Dyson. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved as read. Elec. 3.60 W & S 3.50 It was moved by Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that building application of A. R. Rockwell be allowed. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman C. A. Gaston seconded by Council- man J. 0. Stimp.son that the balance of the proceeds distributed by the A.B.C. Board earmarked for County Welfare Department for the last half of 1943 be transf eyed to that department. Motion. carried. Moved by Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded by Council- man J. 0. Stimpson that the Town defray the recreation center music expense for the past week and each week thereafter until further notice. Motion carried. Notion by Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded by Council- man J. 0. Stimpson that W. 0. Keeble be elected as acting Councilman in place of Councilman Id. 0. Berglin during his absence as provided by Act of the State Legislature , the roll was called with the following results: Voting Aye: Howard Ruge, Idayor, Councilman Saxe Dyson, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper and J. 0. Stimpson. Voting Nay: None. The Idlayor thereupon declared W. 0. Keeble elected. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
