Baldwin, Alabama., met in regular session at Town Hall at 7,3v

"AN ORDINANCE -TO FIX AND ESTABLISH
THE. GRADE OF THE STREETS AND AVENUES,
THE CURB ON EACH, SIDE THEREOF, ALLEYS
AIM SIDEWALKS TO BE IMPROVED UNDER

It was moved by h , 69 Re- and seconded
by that all rules of the Town Council of
the Town of Fairhope, Alabama, which might prevent, unless suspend-
ed, the final passage and adoption of said ordinance at this meet-
ing, be and the same are hereby suspended for the purpose of per-
mitting the final passage and adoption of_said ordinance at this
meeting.
The question being upon the adoption of said motion and
the suspension of such rules, the roll was called with the follow-
ing results:

The mayor declared said motion carried and such rules sus-
pended.
Councilman then moved that said or-
dinance be now placed upon its final passage. Councilman
seconded the motion.
The question being put upon the placing, of said ordinance
upon its final passage, the roll was called with the following re -
AYES;.
The mayor declared the motion carried. Councilman�-
thereupon moved that the said ordinance be finally
pass d and adopted as introduced and read. Councilman Y -
seconded. the motion,
The question being put upon the final passage and adoption
of said ordinance, the roll was called with the following results:

The mayor thereupon declared said motion carried and the
ordinance .finally passed and

Motion was made by Councilman Keeble seconded by Councilman Berglin
that the Mayor be authorized to invest General Obligation Sinking
fund money in bonds of same issue that money is put aside to retire,
wheneger deemed practical and consistant: with good business practice,
thereby saving interest and etc. Motion carried.
Bids for reroofing Go1;g"Club House were opened. After full consider-
ation Councilman Gaston made a.motion that the Lawrence & Sons bid on
reroofing Golf Club House be declared the best, the contract: awared
to them and the work ordered. Motion was seconded by Counciman Klumpp
and carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Berglin and seconded by Councilman
5timpson that the Council sustain the order of the Mayor in discontinuing
the practice in effect for some years affordinetown employees and the
mayor a discount up to $2.00 on their monthly light bills, carried
Motion was made by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Stimpson
that G.R Mood be employed in the Utility Department. and that his salary
be 495.00 per month. Motion carried.
